Fourth of July festivities began with the traditional parade in downtown Eagle Pass on Tuesday.

The City of Eagle Pass held the annual 5K Race on Sunday July 2, in which many individuals young and old participated. 

The City of Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation Department along with the Mayor’s Fitness Council  will be hosting the 2017 Stars and Stripes 5K Color Run/Walk on Sunday, July 2 at San Juan Plaza starting at 7:00 p.m.

Oil prices are down almost $4 per barrel per average compared to the June 2016 average of $48.33 per barrel.  Drivers will find the cheapest gasoline prices for the 4th of July holiday weekend since 2005, thanks to a rare summer break at the pump. 

The City of Eagle Pass will be hosting the Independence Day Stars and Stripes Jam on Tuesday, July 4.
